"A compelling view of Lincoln's often misunderstood spiritual life."
Michael Medved, noted author and nationally syndicated radio talk show host.
"A. Lincoln God's Humble Instrument" is a marvelous revelation as to the spiritual depth of Lincoln's mortal tenure and his unconquerable faith and vision for both, a Nation and his own ethos. Ron L. Andersen's voluminous research reminds us not only of the nonpareil statesmen that the "railsplitter" was but a reminder as to the rational place for worship and religion in public service--and for that matter, all walks of life."
--Todd J. Christensen, former NFL football player and sports broadcaster.
Ron L. Anderson has, through comprehensive research, written a book that chronicles the life of Abraham Lincoln, highlighting the spiritual facets of Lincoln’s persona, from his very humble upbringing to his unparalleled Presidency of the United States during the Civil War. Evident in Mr. Anderson’s analysis was that, while Lincoln was not a member of any church, he maintained a deep devotion and belief in God, upon which he relied for guidance in the sometimes ponderous decisions he made throughout his life. Additionally, Mr. Anderson has shown that Lincoln believed that he was led by God in writing the Emancipation Proclamation, and that he would not abandon it, regardless of intense political pressure. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone with an interest in understanding how and why Lincoln relied on God’s guidance through a crucial time in history, leading to a change in the moral fiber of the nation.

I just finished reading "A. Lincoln, God's Humble Servant'. I was enthralled by the information about my favorite president (along with George Washington). He certainly depended upon our Heavenly Father to keep him on the right course. I read somewhere that he had said that if he were to join any church, it would be the LDS Church. Perhaps it was good that he did not, because he might not have been elected president with that stigma, and we would not have the nation we do today.
Thanks again for a wonder and revealing book!

"I am 2/3 through your Book on
Abraham Lincoln. I have difficulty putting it down each evening. This
represents a stunning education regarding conditions in the United
States in the 1830s to the 1860s. Most of the information was new to
me. As for Lincoln himself, is is no wonder he is rated the #1
president. His devotion to principles taught and exemplified by Jesus,
is an inspiration and a motivator to me personally."
"Thank you for such a masterful work. I'll be finished with my first careful reading by day after tomorrow."

"I have read every
book on Lincoln I could get my hands on since I was a teenager. I
enjoyed your book better than them all because you concentrated on his
spiritual side and I have always believed that was the source of his
greatness. Your book was totally satisfying and provided hours of
enjoyable reading, no more than that, uplifting and inspiring reading."
